QS世界大学排名每年依据以下6个范畴对全球的各所大学进行评分和排名：
雇主声誉10%
学术教员学生比20%
单位教员论文引用数20%
国际教员比率 5%
国际学生比率 5%
今年QS共评估了来自全世界80个国家与地区超过5000所大学院校，港大较去年排名升3位，位列22，其中学术声誉、国际学生比例及国际教员比例得分均超过98分，其中国际教员比例更是维持在100分。
